So, the next round of congressional primaries is coming up next Tuesday, May 12, in Nebraska. Additionally, there are special elections being held for House districts in California and Wisconsin. I'm here to announce War on the Swamp's endorsements for next week's elections, so without further ado, here they are!
Angie Philips

Challenging Republican Sen. Ben Sasse, Angie Philips (with whom you might see an interview with within the next week) is running in the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate in Nebraska. She is taking no corporate PAC nor lobbyist money, and is running on Medicare For All, a Green New Deal, raising the minimum wage, criminal justice reform, campaign finance reform, and many other bold, progressive policies.
Honorable Mentions: Chris Janicek and Andy Stock
Babs Ramsey

Barbara "Babs" Ramsey is seeking to challenge Republican Rep. Jeff Fortenberry in Nebraska's 1st congressional district. Just like with Angie, she is not taking corporate PAC nor lobbyist money, and is running on a progressive platform that includes Medicare For All, tuition-free college, student debt forgiveness, universal basic income, climate action, and gun reform.
Kara Eastman
After narrowly losing to Republican Rep. Don Bacon in 2018, Kara Eastman is seeking a rematch against him this time around in Nebraska's 2nd congressional district. Although I interviewed Ann Ashford, one of Eastman's Democratic primary challengers, for the seat, as a progressive, I agree much more with Kara's platform. Yet again, she takes no money from corporate PACs, and very little ($16, which is not nearly enough to corrupt someone) from lobbyists. Her policies include Medicare For All, a living wage, investing in infrastructure, gun reform, debt-free college and affordable housing.
Tricia Zunker
Tricia Zunker is the Democratic nominee for the special election in Wisconsin's 7th congressional district. The seat was vacated by Republican Sean Duffy when he resigned last September. Her platform includes a public option, protecting DREAMers, supporting unions, investing in infrastructure, environmental protection, and criminal justice reform. While her policies are significantly more centrist than mine, judging by the fact that she takes no corporate PAC nor lobbyist money, I believe she is willing to fight to end corruption in Washington.
So, those are War on the Swamp's endorsements for the May 12 elections. If you live in any of these districts/states, don't forget to vote for these candidates! Thank you, and take care!
